Who we are looking for 

We are looking for a senior data catalog and data governance consultant specializing in Collibra who will help mature offerings and lead data governance initiatives for customers. The position will report to the head of Data Technology Consulting practice. Tasks:
  • Be a trusted thought leader for business data stewards, technical data stewards, domain data stewards and/or Chief Data Officers.

  • Develop metadata strategy and data governance frameworks tailored to customer’s needs and strategy but aligned with industry best practices.

  • Help customers establish required operating model for driving governance of data and metadata while providing guidelines related to practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level.

  • Liaise with information security teams, business data stewards, and data quality teams to define priorities and roadmaps for managing and mitigating risks related to data security and data privacy.

  • Drive upskilling and adoption initiatives within customer organizations.

  • Help build self-help materials and templates for customers.

  • Identify and define opportunities for automating data governance and data cataloguing processes.

  • Collaborate with Lingaro’s technology and delivery teams across different timezones for implementation of data management and governance solutions.

  • Keep the practice at the forefront of Data Management and Governance Consulting (by interacting with the ecosystem, attending conferences, getting certifications, interactions with external advisors, reading articles).

  • Assess and apply the latest developments in data management and standards.

  • High learning agility demonstrating willingness to learn and apply other skills and technologies.

 

Requirements: 
  • 10-15 years of experience in metadata management and data governance practices, systems and processes.

  • 3+ years of experience in consulting or program management roles leading data governance initiatives

  • Collibra Ranger Certification. Proven hands on experience in Collibra, including data cataloging, lineage mapping, and data governance.

  • Experience in installation, upgrade, and administration of Collibra components.

  • Experience in setup, support, deployment & migration of Collibra Components. 

  • Deep understanding of frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, and any relevant certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative discipline.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with CXOs and senior business leaders in defining data governance roadmaps.

  • Ability to clearly articulate, influence, and thought partner with senior business leaders.

  • Deep Understanding of modern concepts as Data Catalog 3.0 / Active Metadata, Data Observability, Data Fabric and Data Mesh

  • Exposure to driving data governance maturity assessment initiatives.

  • Understanding of modern technology trends and data stacks in data management and governance.

  • Experience in running customer workshops and other collaboration sessions to discover customer priorities, understand current state, and determine maturity/readiness to execute on enterprise Data Management & Governance vision.

 
Will be a big plus 
  • Collibra Solution Architect, or Integration Engineer certifications

  • Technology expertise with other data management tools, e.g. Alation, Informatica, Azure Purview, Atlan, Precisely, Ataccama

  • Knowledge of data management services on Azure, GCP, or AWS

  • Experience in FMCG industry.

  • Knowledge of industry specific data security practices and regulations.

  • Experience in Data Quality or Master Data Management.
