We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Informatica MDM Developer & Service Operations Specialist to play a critical role in the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of our Product Master Data solution using Informatica MDM (hosted by vendor, using Informatica on-premise components), with a specific focus on leveraging ActiveVOS workflows and Entity 360. This role combines both development and operational responsibilities, ensuring the quality, integrity, and availability of our critical product data within the pharmaceutical domain. You will be a key contributor to Product Master Data service initiatives and work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and other IT teams. The role requires strong workflows and Java development skills for customizations and integrations, and experience with CI/CD practices for efficient and reliable release management. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

MDM Solution Design & Development:  
  • Design, configure, and develop solutions within the Informatica MDM Hub, including data models, mappings, validation rules, match/merge rules, cleanse functions, and hierarchies.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of MDM components based on business requirements.
  • Ensure solutions align with MDM best practices, data governance standards, and architectural principles.
ActiveVOS Workflow Expertise:  
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex, multi-step business process workflows using Informatica ActiveVOS integrated with MDM Hub events (e.g., for task management, data stewardship, approvals, notifications).
  • Develop and test data validations using activevos and java
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing ActiveVOS workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Integrate ActiveVOS workflows with external systems and APIs as needed.
  • Develop workflow dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
Java Development & Customization:  
  • Leverage strong Java/J2EE skills to develop custom User Exits, Business Entity Services (BES) extensions, Services Integration Framework (SIF) APIs, and other bespoke components to meet specific business needs within the MDM ecosystem.
  • Integrate MDM solutions with other enterprise applications using Java-based APIs and services (REST, SOAP).
  • Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews for Java components.
Product & Product Lifecycle Master Data Focus:  
  • Apply deep understanding of Product master data domains (attributes, hierarchies, relationships, lifecycle states) within the Pharma, CPG, or Healthcare industry context.
  • Implement and manage Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data concepts within the MDM solution.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and subject matter experts to define and implement data quality rules and governance processes for product data.
    Domain expertise:
  • Significant experience within the Pharma, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Healthcare industry.
  • Understands of domain specific regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, GxP, Data Integrity, CSV.
  • Apply regulatory concepts within MDM solutioning.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Product Master Data and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data domains.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration:  
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior MDM developers. 
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to the evolution of the MDM platform. 
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, data architects, QA teams, and infrastructure teams. 
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex production issues, performance tuning, and root cause analysis. 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. 
CI/CD & Release Management: 
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for Informatica MDM deployments, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar. 
  • Automate build, testing, and deployment processes for MDM configurations and customizations. 
  • Manage code repositories (e.g., Git) and branching strategies for MDM development. 
  • Coordinate and execute releases of MDM updates and enhancements. 
  • Implement version control and rollback mechanisms for MDM deployments. 
  • Ensure compliance with change management processes. 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).   
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing solutions with Informatica MDM Hub (including versions 10.4 or higher).
  • Proven, in-depth expertise in designing, developing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex workflows using Informatica ActiveVOS within an MDM context.
  • Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE programming, specifically for Informatica MDM customizations (User Exits, SIF, BES APIs).
  • Solid understanding of MDM concepts, principles, data modeling, data quality, data governance, and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
  • Experience with integrating MDM with other systems (ERP, CRM, PIM, PLM) using various methods (API, Batch).
  • Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), preferably using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in using planning tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.   

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Informatica MDM Certification. 
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and/or PowerCenter. 
  • Good knowledge or experience in Data cataloging tools kike Informatica Axon 
  • Experience with Informatica MDM provisioning tool, configuration, and Business Entity Services (BES). 
  • Experience or certification with other cloud-based MDM solutions (e.g., Reltio, Profisee, Ataccamma, CloudIn). 
  • Experience with messaging queues (JMS, Kafka).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
