About BI Competency:
Focuses on collecting, analyzing, and presenting data in a format that enables organizations to make informed business decisions. This involves extracting relevant data from disparate sources, transforming, and consolidating it into meaningful insights, and presenting these insights through reports and visualizations. The core of the work is around report design and development using a variety of tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik. Other important aspects include report performance and usability. In addition to report development, BI Reporting Consultants play an important role in training and upskilling client users to use BI tools to improve data literacy, user adoption and enable self-service BI scenarios.

Duties
- Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights.
- Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
- Make essential technical and strategic changes to improvise present business intelligence systems.
- Should be able to write extensive DAX for the purpose of designing reports and dashboards.
- Must be able to build semantic data models connecting to SQL, do data modelling and create transformations in Power Query.
- Must be able to build and connect to dataflows.
- Must have knowledge of external tools like Tabular editor to manipulate semantic models directly.
- Must be up-to-date with the latest updates in Power BI
- Must be able to handle Power BI service including setting up RLS and providing access to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 6 + years’ experience into Power BI.
- Must have Skills: Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, SQL.
- Good to have- Power Apps
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
