About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Consultant for a part-time, ad hoc engagement. This position is ideal for individuals committed to enabling data-driven decision-making and transforming complex business intelligence (BI) environments into efficient, insight-driven solutions. As a Senior Consultant, you will oversee high-impact BI migration projects and advise clients on best practices for multi-channel data consumption. Your responsibilities will include designing scalable self-service analytics strategies and utilizing advanced technologies such as semantic layers and metric layers. You will work with platforms like Power BI and Microsoft Fabric and contribute significantly to integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance analytics workflows and automate insights.

Tasks:

Lead consulting engagements focused on data consumption strategies, encompassing dashboards, real-time analytics, embedded reporting, mobile BI, and self-service solutions.
Advise clients on implementing semantic and metric layer architectures (e.g., Dremio, Azure Analysis Services, Microsoft Fabric, dbt Semantic Layer, Looker) to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
Develop strategies, frameworks and accelerators for BI platform migrations (e.g., from Tableau, Qlik, or MicroStrategy to Power BI), ensuring seamless transitions and modernization of the BI landscape.
Develop and refine accelerators and reusable assets to improve the efficiency and repeatability of BI initiatives.
Design governance frameworks that support scalable self-service BI, ensuring data quality, compliance, and alignment across the organization.
Design and ideate enablement programs to empower business users and enhance data literacy.
Contribute to pre-sales efforts by assisting with proposal development, client presentations, and solution demonstrations.

What We're Looking For:

Over 12 years of experience in data and analytics, including more than 7 years in business intelligence, analytics consulting, or data consumption strategy, with a focus on platform migration and self-service enablement.
Proven experience in leading BI modernization and migration efforts to platforms such as Power BI.
In-depth understanding of data governance, data quality management, and strategies to empower business users.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
