Tasks:

  • Business understanding, Data understanding/preparation, Modeling, Evaluation and Deployment of solutions – following CRISP-DM methodologies. 

  • Understanding of optimization methodologies including linear/integer/nonlinear programming and heuristics for finding the best solution to the business problem. 

  • Experience with business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plan, data processing, feature engineering, hypothesis testing, transforming findings into tasks,  

  • Proactive approach for areas where improvement is needed, like suggestions of improving existing pipelines (tests, support, and improvements)  

  • Creation and following of standards to improve competency quality.

  • Know-how and experience from projects in Supply Chain area, or optimization projects is a plus.


Requirements:

Essential: 

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ of DS/Operations Research experience. 

  • Experience in optimization methodologies, including use of various optimization libraries (e.g. CPLEX, Gurobi, ortools, etc.). 

  • Strong Python coding skills (including Object oriented programming concepts), including using ML libraries and basic working knowledge of SQL  

  • Experience working in cloud technologies (preferred MS Azure, GCP nice-to-have). 

  • Familiarity with theory behind various machine learning concepts 

  • Experience in CRISP-DM projects delivery and with Agile project (like Scrum, Kanban).  

  • Experience with business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plan, data processing, feature engineering, models evaluation, hypothesis testing and model deployment. 

  • Experience in working with client-facing role. 

  • Able to apply independent research, gather information, and give recommendation how to solve problems of diverse scope. 

  • Great communication skills. 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Other programming languages knowledge e.g., SQL, R 

  • Experience working in Spark (PySpark) 

  • Experience in working in other IT roles (Data Engineer, AI Engineer, Business Intelligence-related) is welcomed 

  • Understanding and experience in applying Data Science/Machine Learning methods to Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory or Sustainability) 

  • Strong statistical/mathematical background 

  • Experience in working in matrix organization
