About Data Scientist:

Focuses on leveraging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-powered solutions. Utilizes Exploratory Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling and Machine Learning, Model Deployment, and Integration as well as Model Monitoring and Maintenance. Delivers business solutions using multiple AI techniques and tools.

The person we are looking for will become part of Data Science & Optimization Team working within DS&AI competency. Person will be responsible for delivering E2E projects, from POCs to scaling up existing solutions, mostly in Supply Chain area for Top500 FMCG companies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Business understanding, Data understanding/preparation, Modeling, Evaluation and Deployment of solutions – following CRISP-DM methodologies.

• Understanding of optimization methodologies including linear/integer/nonlinear programming and heuristics for finding the best solution to the business problem.

• Experience with business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plan, data processing, feature engineering, hypothesis testing, transforming findings into tasks,

• Proactive approach for areas where improvement is needed, like suggestions of improving existing pipelines (tests, support, and improvements) or model quality,

• Creation and following of standards to improve competency quality.

Must have:

• 4+ years of professional experience.

• Experience in optimization methodologies, including use of various optimization libraries (e.g. CPLEX, Gurobi, ortools, etc.).

• Strong Python coding skills (including Object oriented programming concepts), including using ML libraries and basic working knowledge of SQL.

• Commercial experience proven by successful projects in the area of data science.

• Experience in feature engineering techniques and/or usage of external data sources helpful in forecasting problems.

• Experience working in cloud technologies (MS Azure especially).

• Familiarity with theory behind various machine learning concepts

• Commercial experience with various Machine Learning (ML) models (e.g. decision trees, ensemble based tree models, linear regression, etc.).

• Experience with business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plan, data processing, feature engineering, models evaluation, hypothesis testing and model deployment.

• Experience in CRISP-DM projects delivery and with Agile project (like Scrum, Kanban).

• Experience in working with client-facing role.

• Able to apply independent research, gather information, and give recommendation how to solve problems of diverse scope.

• Great communication skills.

Good To Have : 

• Other programming languages knowledge like: R, SQL · Other cloud experience: Google, AWS

• Supply Chain business acumen and background gained in FMCG companies, sustainability area is a plus.

• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Strong statistical/mathematical background – understanding of the math behind ML methods.

• Good understanding and experience in operationalization of models using VMs.

• Experience in working in matrix organization.

• Knowledge about relational databases, and serving as the focal point for all bid related queries and communication.
